Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra created history and became first Indian to win diamond league crown in Laussane
The 24-year old Neeraj who had to take out his nameout of Common Wealth Game due to groin injury came back withd a bang. He threw the spear 89.08 m in his first attempt. This was his third career-best performance, His second throw was 85.18m, He passed third one. His fourh was foul, passed fifth one while sixth was 80.04m
Vikas Gowda is the only Indian yo have finish in top three in diamond league in discus throw. Gowda finished second on two occasions- in New York in 2012 and in Doha in 2014. Gowda finished second twice in Shanghai and Eugene.
